Version 1.400. Released April 1, 2006

Changes in this version

Added functionality for the Chip Forge "POST" button which, when pressed, will archive the chips in the Gallery to the Chip Forge data repository.
Added "shortcut" buttons for Gallery operations. The "ADD" button copies the current design pane chip to the Gallery. The "CLEAR" button clears all chips from the Gallery. The "MOLD" button will apply the mold that is on the design pane chip to all chips in the Gallery (note that this operation only affects Gallery chips of the same manufacturer as the design pane chip). The "EDGES" buttons works like the "MOLD" button, but applies the edgespot pattern on the current design pane chip, rather than the mold.
Added tooltips for most interface buttons.

What's next, in the immediate future

I'm not terribly happy with how cluttered the UI is becoming, so I'm planning to put most of the UI buttons into distinct, grouped "pop-up" mini-panels.

Data update, April 2, 2006

Added edgespot patterns for ASM 214, 212, 314, 414, 412 & 614. While it is possible to create chips with these patterns using other patterns with one or more of the edge colors set to the base color, in light of ASM making these patterns available, I decided that providing a complete list with each pattern explicitly identified would be a good idea. A browser cache flush may be required to see this change.
Note: Chips saved in previous Chip Forge versions with some patterns (specifically the 4A14, 4A12 and 6A14 patterns) may not display as expected when loaded in the latest version of the tool. This is because former versions of the Chip Forge saved these chips with a mold identifier of 414, 412 or 614, which are now single-color patterns. Re-applying the correct desired edgespot pattern (4A14, 4A12 or 6A14) should return these chips to their previous state. Apologies for any inconvenience.
