Version 0.940b. Released November 19, 2005
Changes in this version
Added advanced implementation of chip stack view which includes 3D isometric view of stack. It's not a true perspective projection, but I think it looks pretty darned cool. Chips in stack can be manipulated using the mouse pointer. Edges on ASM chips have brass glint.
Again improved (decreased) CPU load when idle.
...and a few other things here and there.
What's next, in the immediate future
Fix glitches with the stack view. I admit that I opted to publish this version as-is, rather than fixing the glitches first. But, can you blame me?
More interesting things — mostly convenience features.
Also, I stopped by T.R. King this week and picked up a sample color set from Dennis, so I will hopefully have the "MANUFACTURERS" tab implemented soon.
What's next, down the line
Starting to think of addressing back-end issues.
* Features hilighted in this color are Chip Design Network innovations and/or new features available exclusively in the Chip Forge application. The Chip Design Network strives to innovate, while the others rush to imitate.
